The Stiltz Trio+ Home Lift is our wheelchair lift and is perfect for the less mobile. Larger than the Duo but still surprisingly compact, all Trio home elevator models are designed for wheelchair users with wider entry and exit points and a ramp included as standard. The Trio+ also provides lift solutions for those with disabilities and people with walking frames.

Movement Safety Sensors
All Stiltz Home Lifts are fitted with safety sensors in the base and top lid of the lift car. These sensors detect obstructions above or below the lift. If anything is positioned on the lift lid, the lift won’t move upwards. If the lift is in use in either direction and meets an obstruction, it will come to a smooth stop until the obstruction is removed.
An additional sensor included as standard is a ‘light curtain’. This is located either side of the entrance of the lift car (and if you have a half height door, it includes the gap between the door and the top of the lift car) and ensures if anything crosses the entrance threshold of the lift while in motion, the lift will stop automatically.
What stops the lift from falling?
As our Home Lifts require no structural work to the property and no load-bearing wall, we often get asked what stops the lift from falling? The weight of the Home Lift is carried by two very strong steel cables, in the extremely unlikely event they lose tension or break, our patented Fall Arrest Mechanism kicks in, and prevents the car from falling, or even moving at all.
What do I do if I experience any problems with my Home Lift?
Every Stiltz Home Lift is installed with its own integrated phone, so in the unlikely event of a breakdown, help is only a phone call away. The safety of our customers is paramount and that why we have a full range of safety features included in every lift as standard.

With no noisy external hydraulics or vacuum drive systems to worry about, the Stiltz Home Lift is whisper quiet and standard remote controls allow you to move suitcases, heavy items, boxes, or anything else you need an extra pair of hands with.
Stiltz passenger lifts are fully compliant with all European safety standards and features include a battery back-up, full or half height doors, obstruction sensors, key lock to stop unauthorised use, an optional seat and grab bar. Stiltz also supply a range of wheelchair lifts.

or awkward items between floors. - One-Year Parts Warranty: All Stiltz Elevators carry a standard 12 months parts warranty.
- Internal LED Downlights: Programmed to turn when the user has called or entered the elevator; will remain on for the entire journey.
- Battery Back-Up System If there is a power cut while using the elevator, it can be driven to the lower level of the home and will then wait until the power comes back on to resume normal service.
- Half-Height Light Curtain: Projects the opening above the half-door from obstructions; the lift will not move until the obstruction has been removed and the light curtain is clear.
- Interior Telephone: Help is just a phone call away. Every lift comes standard with a landline phone; a cell phone is available as an option.
- Fold-Down Seat: A stylish molded plastic seat is an option; simply lift the seat out of the way when not in use.
- Interior Grab Rail: Offers increased security for the occupants of the elevator.
- Full-Height Door: An interlocked door that replaces the half-height door option.
- Half Height Light Curtain: An obstruction sensor is situated at the entrance of our elevators. If this barrier is crossed at any time, the elevator will immediately stop.
- Safety Lid Cover: This crucial feature covers the aperture in the floor when the elevator is in the downstairs position. It is strong enough to stand on, and you can place your original flooring on top to blend in.
- Key Switch Operation: This feature allows the owner to lock out the elevator if the need arises. This is commonly used when going away on holiday or when the grandchildren are around.
- Top & Bottom Safety Pans: Using our obstruction sensors, a Stiltz elevator can detect objects above or below the elevator, causing it to immediately stop.
- Hold-To-Run Controls: Operating a Stiltz Elevator requires constant pressure to the controls. This allows the user to ‘drive’ the elevator and feel in total control.
- Weight Limit Sensors: The Trio Alta home elevator is limited to 500lbs. The elevator detects anything exceeding this limit and will not travel.
- Out Of Balance Sensors: Sensors will detect if the elevator is ever out of balance and prevent the unit from travelling.
- Fall Arrest Mechanism: This patented system prevents the car from falling in the unlikely event of the steel ropes going slack.
- Emergency Stop Button: This button is front and center for the user in the event of an emergency.
